Pizzaseminar vom 22. Oktober 2014: Terrorist Threats to the United States: Homegrown and Foreign Fighters
The rapidly growing strength and territorial claims of the Islamic State (IS) in Iraq and Syria add new urgency to the security challenge of homegrown terror threats and the return of foreign fighters (non-citizens of conflict states who join insurgencies) to the US. In close consideration of the US security system, this seminar shed light on the numerous ways this can pose a potential threat to the US. Characteristics of homegrown Jihadi action were identified and the US response was outlined to the participants of this Pizzaseminar.
