Power2Rescue

Project Description

The project “Power2Rescue", coordinated by the Björn Steiger Foundation and in cooperation with the BIGS and the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, aims to research climate-friendly fuel and drive technologies for vehicles in the emergency services. In view of the expiry of the authorisation of combustion engines in the EU, there is an urgent need for innovation in this area.

The project, which will run from July 2024 to June 2025 and is funded by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV), plans to develop practical, databased solutions for alternative drive systems and the associated infrastructure through several expert workshops and a feasibility study.
